Third Grade Butterfly Project
In this cross-curricula program, students learn the butterfly life cycle. They watch Monarch butterfly larvae go through the tri-star stages into maturity right in the classroom. Once the butterflies reach maturity, they are ceremonially released to begin their journey to Mexico.
Nokomis Night at the Art
Nokomis Night at the Arts, a yearly celebration, presents the musical and artistic talents of the students in pre-school through 2nd grade to their friends, family and members of the community.
The Neeta Play
Spring theater production is performed at Neeta and includes students from all grade levels. Student productions have included Peter Pan, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma , Aladdin. Alice in Wonderland and 2017 will show LION KING JUNIOR
Extended day enrichment program allows students to select activities such as fencing, movie club, chess, lego club and many others.
The Secret Garden outdoor classroom at Nokomis
A garden comes to life right next
to our Kindergarden, 1st and 2nd grader's classroom.
September 2015 : the secret garden has been cleaned out and revamped.
Initiated as a feeder program for the high robotic program, students learn the basics in building and programming small robots to perform simple tasks and activities.
Teacher Enrichment Grants
Classroom grants give our teachers the opportunity to explore, create, and implement their many creative and innovative ideas with their students.
Recent grants include: Activboards in every classroom, Ipads for the 5th grade, Secret Garden, and Technology based upgrades.
